about ME

My appreciation for homes began at a young age. Growing up in Helena, Montana I was fascinated by the beautiful historic homes in the mansion district built during the gold rush era. Seeing how some of these incredible homes had been neglected and how they could be impeccably maintained helped develop my passion for preservation. After finishing school I traveled around the US, doing home renovations and handy work by day and working as a chef at night.

I have been involved in various aspects of home renovation and project management over the last fifteen years and in 2014 was lucky enough to purchase and renovate my first home (a 1954 midcentury rambler) with my wife.

My interest in home inspection came from the trials, tribulations, and joys of being a new homeowner. In 2015 I graduated from the Residential Home Inspection program at Bellingham Technical College, one of the most rigorous programs in the country. In addition to becoming a Washington State Licensed Home Inspector I also received my certification as a WSDA Licensed Structural Pest Inspector.

I pride myself on providing thorough inspections, useful recommendations and being a resource for you. I love to work with my clients to develop a plan to not only secure their home purchase but to preserve their home for many years to come.
